*(Q)Jerath: A lot of the leather healing gear appears to be mostly for offensive-type priests (with heal proc on offensive spell). Are there any plans to alter or add more gear that proc's on heals?::(A)Fyreflyte: Due to the wide number of playstyles and AA specs available to priests, there is a much wider range of gear available to them than most other classes. The tradeoff is that finding the specific gear you want can be more difficult. From your question I gather that you are asking about items with procs similar to Overloaded Heal, and it's true that you'll find quite a few less of those in our newest zones. Healers developed a large dependencHealers developed a large dependency on AE heal procs during RoK, and we wanted to try to move away from that and put more emphasis back on the healers' actual spells.::(A)Fyreflyte: I have no plans to change the balance between offensive and defensive priest gear, as I think variability is one of the things that keeps the game fun, but there will certainly be new gear available on the shard merchants and in future zones that will be focused on improving healing (likely some with healing procs).
Fyreflyte*(Q)Jevv of Nektulos: Due What is being done to resolve the wide number crashing of playstyles and AA specs available EQ2 due to priestsit not releasing, there is and subsequently running out of memory - any chance of a much wider range of gear available /flush command similar to them than most other classes. The tradeoff is that finding the specific gear you want can be more difficult. From your question I gather that you are asking about items with procs similar one in Vanguard? It often seemed to Overloaded Healhelp, and even though it's true that you'll find quite not the optimal solution, if we could at least do a /flush whenever we zoned, it might alleviate a few less lot of those in our newest zonesthe crashing caused by EQ2. Healers developed a large dependencHealers developed a large dependency on AE heal procs during RoK, and we wanted to try to move away from that exe grabbing more and put more emphasis back on the healers' actual spellsmemory.Fyreflyte::(A)Rothgar: I have no plans to change the balance between offensive answer for Jevv's question. :)::(A)Rothgar: EQII is actually pretty good about dynamically loading and defensive priest gear, unloading resources as I think variability needed so a /flush command wouldn't really help. The problem is one of the things that keeps the game fun, but there will certainly in many cases we just require too many resources to be new gear available loaded at once. We are actively working on the shard merchants crashing issues and memory usage and have some changes in future zones the works that will be focused on improving healing (likely some with healing procs)should help.
Jevv of Nektulos*(Q)Bludwyng: Currently disabling quest xp does not disable xp from collection quests. Is this a bug? Rothgar: What is being done to resolve the crashing I don't know if its technically a bug since they are different types of EQ2 due quests... but its probably logical to ignore xp from collection quests if you have quest xp disabled.::(A)Rothgar: We'll talk about it not releasing, and subsequently running out of memory - any chance of a /flush command similar see if we can get that fixed.*(Q)Anon: The lag on Antonia Bayle in Moors has been pretty rough. Any plans to lower the one amount of people needed in Vanguardthe zone before we get another instance and hopefully combat the lag? It often seemed ::(A)Kirstie: Since the launch of TSO we have lowered the number of people required to helpspawn up a new instance of Moors twice. However, and even though it'we are still working on resolving the underlying problem(s not ) with the optimal solution, if lag and we could at least do a /flush whenever 'll get that out to live as soon as we zoned, 're sure it might alleviate a lot of the crashing caused by EQ2.exe grabbing more and more memorywill help.
Rothgar*(Q)Bludwyng: I have the answer for JevvMiragul's questionPhylactery: The Crucible.. :)Rothgar: EQII is actually pretty good about dynamically loading and unloading resources as needed so a /flush command wouldn't really help. The problem is the entire final fight centers around 2 torches that must be used to burn 2-4 books, pages or scrolls in many cases we just require too many resources to be loaded at once5 seconds or everyone dies. We The torches are actively working on crashing issues no-rent, and memory usage and have some changes in the works that should helpdo not respawn. If a torchholder goes LD or zones out (quits) without handing off his torch, zone over.Bludwyng: Currently disabling quest xp does not disable xp from collection questsJust leave, you are screwed. Is this a bugthat "working as intended"? Rothgar::(A)Ilucide: I don'll talk with Kander and see if we can't know if its technically do something about this. I've got a bug since they are different types few ideas in mind of questshow we can address that... but its probably logical to ignore xp from collection quests if you have quest xp disabledSo, 'working as implemented', not necessarily 'working as intended'.
Rothgar*(Q)Anon: We'll talk about All the live events are great, but the token system, where you repeat a quest interminably to earn rewards of your choice, is getting a little... repetitious. Has any thought been given to mixing it and see if we can get that fixed.up a bit?Anon: The lag on Antonia Bayle in Moors has been pretty rough:(A)Kaitheel: Of course. Any plans In fact, it wasn't even planned to be used with Frostfell, but became a clear choice due to lower player feedback on the amount of people needed in Test servers. The first time it was seen was GU46, and used as the zone before we get another instance main reward system for GU46, 47, and hopefully combat 49. It was not used for either GU48 or Nights of the lag?Dead.
Kirstie*(Q)Anon: Since the launch of TSO we have lowered the number of people required to spawn up a new instance of Moors twice. However, we are still working on resolving the underlying problemCurrently most raids include 4 enchanters (s4 illusionists or 3 illusionists and 1 coercer) with . Do the lag and we'll get that out devs feel this is balanced or are they hoping to live as soon as we're sure it will helpaddress this in some way? The same can also easily be said about bards desirability raiding.Bludwyng: Miragul's Phylactery: (A)Aeralik: Raids can be done with any number of setups. The Crucible... 4 enchanters and 4 bards is really the entire final fight centers around 2 torches that must be used players min/maxing to burn 2-4 books, pages or scrolls in 5 seconds or everyone diescome up with the optimal setup. The torches are no-rent, and do It's not respawn. If a torchholder goes LD just enchanters or zones out (quits) without handing off his torchbards though, zone you see many raids running multiple brigands or favoring certain classes overothers for their buffs or specific spells. Just leave, you are screwedOur goal is definitely to make all 24 classes desirable to a raid but at the end of the day players will set things up in ways they perceive will maximize their efficiency. Is that "working as intended"?
Ilucide*(Q)Vyrsha: I'll talk with Kander and Will we see if we canany further dual/multi-core support soon?::(A)Rothgar: We't do something about thisre always looking for ways to get the most "bang for our buck" when it comes to performance enhancements. I've got a few ideas in mind of how Currently we can address are working on other graphics-related enhancements that. So, 'working as implemented', not necessarily 'working as intended'.Anon: All the live events are great, but the token system, where you repeat a quest interminably to earn rewards of your choice, is getting should hopefully increase client performance a little... repetitiousgood deal. Has any thought been given to mixing it up a bit?
Kaitheel*(Q)Diknak of Butcherblock: Of course. In fact, it wasnThe only TSO instances that don't even planned to be used with Frostfell, but became a clear choice due to player feedback on give void shards are zones that are in the Test servers. The first time it was seen was GU46, and used as the main reward system for GU46, 47, and 49void. How does that make sense lore wise? It was not used for either GU48 or Nights of would increase the Deaddesirability to complete those zones if there were at least a void chest in them. Are there any plans on adding missions/chests to these zones?Anon: Currently most raids include 4 enchanters :( 4 illusionists or 3 illusionists and 1 coercerA). Do Ilucide: In the devs feel this is balanced or are they hoping future, we'll probably look at adding on missions to address this in some way? The same can also easily be said about bards desirability raidinggo into those zones.
Aeralik*(Q)Anon: Raids can be done with any number of setups. The 4 enchanters and 4 bards is really With all the players min/maxing new crafting equipment it's possible to come up with the optimal setupget your harvesting quite high. ItIs there a hard cap on harvesting skills?::(A)Ilucide: There isn's not just enchanters or bards thought a hard cap per se, however, there are certainly points at which having more harvesting skill no longer benefits you see many raids running multiple brigands or favoring certain classes over others for their buffs or specific spells. Our goal is definitely to make all 24 classes desirable to a raid but at the end of the day players will set things up in ways they perceive will maximize their efficiency.Vyrsha: Will we see any further dual/multi-core support soon?
Rothgar*(Q)Panix of Venekor: We're always looking for ways to get the most "bang for our buck" when it comes to performance enhancementsThere are a lot of guilds collectively raiding together these days in an Alliance style format. Currently When can we are working on other graphics-related enhancements that should hopefully increase client performance see a good deal/alliance chat? I've seen it requested many times but I'm not sure its ever been addressed.Diknak of Butcherblock: The only TSO instances that don:(A)Rothgar: Being able to form guild alliances is definitely a subject we't give void shards are zones that are in ve talked about and I think it would be a great addition to the voidgame. How does that make sense lore wise? It would increase Now with guild halls, creating the desirability ability to complete those zones form alliances has other benefits as well. We don't have anything currently planned but we will talk about it again internally and see if there were at least a void chest in themwe can work out some details. Are there any plans on adding missions/chests to these zones?
Ilucide*(Q)Anon: In the futureWhat other sort of items, if any, weare being considered for purchase with Station Cash?::(A)Kirstie: We'll probably look at adding re working on missions to go into those zonesproviding real life posters of your character that you can purchase with Station Cash.Anon: With all I've seen some of the new crafting equipment it's possible to get your harvesting quite highmock ups and they looked very cool. Is there a hard cap on harvesting skills?
Ilucide*(Q)Anon: There isn't a hard cap per seHas any thought been given to allowing players to earn any kind AA via crafting (not tradeskill quests, however, there are certainly points at which having more harvesting skill no longer benefits youactual item creation).Panix of Venekor: There are a lot of guilds collectively raiding together these days :(A)Aeralik: Achievements currently enhance your ability to adventure. So the experience gains should come from something related to adventuring like questing, running your daily mission or killing creatures in an Alliance style format. When can we see a /alliance chat? I've seen it requested many times but I'm not sure its ever been addresseddungeons.
Rothgar*(Q)Armmiller: Being able what efforts are they making to form guild alliances is definitely balance raiders against pvp'ers?::(A)Aeralik: The newer pvp gear should make an effort to reduce the gap quite a subject we've talked about bit. It has critical mitigation to reduce critical damage done to the player and I think it would be most raiders have a great addition high chance to critical.::(A)Aeralik: It also exceeds the gamebase raid set in hitpoints and stats and has some similar item set effects. Now with guild hallsSo in all, creating a player who wants to focus on pvp can get pretty close to the ability to form alliances has other benefits as wellraider in base armors. We don't The raider will have anything currently planned an advantage from jewelery and weapons but we will talk about it again internally and see if we can work out some detailseven then there are good items available to the non raider throughout the world.Anon: What other sort of items, if any, are being considered for purchase with Station Cash?
Kirstie*(Q)Fendy: What classes are up to be addressed after Fighters?::(A)Aeralik: We're working on providing real life posters of your character that you can purchase Once we are done with Station Cashfighters, we will discuss and prioritize which classes get the next balance pass. Idon've seen some of the mock ups and they looked very cool.Anon: Has any thought been given to allowing players to earn t really have a definitive answer or timeframe for any kind AA via crafting (not tradeskill quests, actual item creation)particular class though.
Aeralik*(Q)Ivar: Achievements currently enhance your ability Theres a lot of confusion/misinformation out there about betraying on pvp servers. My main question is, can I betray freeport as an Inquisitor, ALIGN myself WITH Qeynos and still maintain Inquisitor status, getting their spells etc all the way to 80? I don't even want to adventureplay the guy right now without a clear answer. So the experience gains should come from something related I'm totally new to adventuring like questingeq2 and this whole betrayal business seems really cool, running your daily mission or killing creatures in dungeonsbut most confusing.Armmiller: what efforts are they making :(A)Aeralik: If you betray Freeport and go to Qeynos you finish up at the templar trainer and there will be an option to balance raiders against pvp'ers?become an Inquisitor instead. You will still have your spells reset but you do in fact become a Qeynos Inquisitor.
Aeralik*(Q)Anon: The newer pvp gear should make an effort to reduce the gap quite a bit. It has critical mitigation to reduce critical damage done to the player and most raiders have a high Any chance to critical.of getting some kind of commission-type feature for Transmuting?Aeralik: It also exceeds :(A)Ilucide: We have no current plans for a Transmuting commission system, because it would remove the base raid set in hitpoints and stats and has some similar item set effects. So in all, desire to have more than a player who wants to focus very few number of Transmuters on pvp can get pretty close to the raider in base armorsa server. The raider will have an advantage from jewelery and weapons but even then there are good items available to the non raider throughout the world.Fendy: What classes are up to be addressed after Fighters?
Aeralik*(Q)Maladict: Once Are we are done likely to see a mini-content update this year with fightersa story to save the Brokenskulls from the influence of the Shadows? will we then be able to gain faction with the Brokenskulls and, hopefully, we will discuss discover Faction Missions and prioritize which classes get the next balance pass. I don't really have a definitive answer or timeframe faction merchant for any particular class though.them?Ivar: Theres a lot of confusion/misinformation out there about betraying on pvp servers. My main question is, can I betray freeport as an Inquisitor, ALIGN myself WITH Qeynos and still maintain Inquisitor status, getting their spells etc all the way to 80? I :(A)Ilucide: We don't even want to play have any specific plans for following the guy Brokenskull storyline right now without a clear answer. I, but that'm totally new s not to eq2 and this whole betrayal business seems really coolsay that we won't in the future. Currently our focus is on a slightly different content update, but most confusingthe one I discussed lightly in a previous response.
Aeralik*(Q)KurtH: If I was wondering if you could tell us what the point of losing all your masters was when you betray Freeport and go from one city to Qeynos you finish another. The reason I ask, is because some people have been building up at the templar trainer master I's for years, and would rather cancel their account then swap cities and there will lose all of their masters. Would it be an option possible to become an Inquisitor instead. You will still have make it so you only lose your spells reset /combat arts if you change classes..but if you do stay the same class::(A)Ilucide: There are no plans right now to change the system. If you'd like to make the choice and betray, then that is, in fact become , a Qeynos Inquisitorchoice. But allowing relatively free transfer between the two cities isn't something we're considering.Anon: Any chance of getting some kind of commission-type feature for Transmuting?
Ilucide*(Q)Gaktar: We have no current plans for How about lag in T3 guild halls? Just moving from one side to another requires quite a Transmuting commission system, because it would remove the desire long time to have more than a very few number of Transmuters on a serverreload everything.Maladict: Are we likely :(A)Rothgar: The lag issues in guild halls are due to see a mini-content update this year with a story the large number of house items all using different resources that your computer must load in order to save display them. There really aren't any major changes we can make here at the Brokenskulls from moment. One thing you can do to help the influence of lag is to reuse the Shadows? will we then be able same items as much as possible to gain faction with decrease the Brokenskulls and, hopefully, discover Faction Missions and a faction merchant for them?number of unique resources required.
Ilucide*(Q)nahhh: We donAny chance of a bag update? What i't have any specific plans m asking for following the Brokenskull storyline right nowis a list view instead of an icon view, but that's not to say for those icons that we won't in are the future. Currently our focus is on a slightly different content updatesame, the one I discussed lightly recipe scrolls they all blend together in icon view, i'd like a previous responselist of names instead of icons...does that make sence?KurtH: I was wondering if you could tell us what the point of losing all :(A)Rothgar: We feel your masters was when you betray from one city to anotherpain too. The reason I askAs it is, is because some people players have been building up master I's for years, tons of bag space and would rather cancel their account then swap cities and lose all of their mastersfinding items can be difficult sometimes. Would it be possible We've been talking about options to make it so you only lose your spells/combat arts if you change classes.easier but haven't decided on anything yet.but if you stay the same class
Ilucide*(Q)nahhh: There are no plans right now to change the system. If youI'm a "goodie" character, i'd like to make buy a gorwyn house. Any chance of this changing? I read something about all classes being allowed in any town on the choice and betray, then that pvp servers.::(A)Ilucide: Gorowyn isaligned with the other evil cities - as such, in factyou would need to become a citizen of Freeport, a choiceNeriak or Gorowyn itself. But allowing relatively free transfer between the two cities There isn't something anything in the works that would change this, however we're considering.Gaktar: How about lag did recently open up the ability for players of any allied factions to buy houses in T3 guild halls? Just moving from one side to another requires quite a long time to reload everythingany cities allied with their own.
Rothgar*(Q)Bludwyng: The lag issues in guild halls are due to the large number of house items What all using different resources that your computer must load is new this year in order to display them. Frostfell?::(A)Kaitheel: There really aren't any major changes we can make here at the moment. One thing you can do to help the lag is to reuse the same s so much new! House items as much as possible to decrease the number of unique resources required.nahhh: Any chance of a bag update? What i'm asking for is a list view instead of an icon viewbe crafted, slippery ice, for those icons that are the samecollections, recipe scrolls they all blend together in icon viewa frozen dungeon instance, i'd like a list of names instead of icons.very pretty Frostfell tree quest given in each player city. And new rewards for the old quests that can be done again this year. does that make sence?
Rothgar*(Q)Felishanna: We feel your pain tooCurrently, people are selling open and cleared instances to TSO zones for shards. As Is this going to be addressed soon? Can you reassure us that how it is, players have tons of bag space and finding items can be difficult sometimes. addressed wont harm normal mentored groups?::(A)Ilucide: We've been talking about options addressing these missions on a case-by-case basis, and expect to make it easier but haven't decided on anything yethave the last of them addressed by the end of next week.nahhh: I'm a "goodie" character:(A)Ilucide: And no, i'd like to buy a gorwyn house. Any chance of this changing? I read something about all classes being allowed in any town on the pvp serverschanges will not harm normal mentored groups.=)
*(Q)Savne: Is there any chance of being given more quest journal space?::(A)Ilucide: Gorowyn is aligned The original reason we had a 75 slot quest journal was hardware related, though not because of data storage. Zone performance suffered when too many people with too many quests were playing in the same space. Some of that can probably be addressed now, but the other evil cities - as gameplay impact is such, that even it's difficult to track which quests you would need 're on even with 75 quests.::(A)Ilucide: So we don't have any plans to become increase the size of the quest journal.::(A)Ilucide: But I wanted to give a citizen little bit of Freeport, Neriak or Gorowyn itselfinsight as to why. There isn::(A)Ilucide: It's also worth noting that EQII't anything in s quest journal is 3x the works that would change thissize of most other MMOs, however and we did recently open up keep around all of the ability old data for players of any allied factions to buy houses in any cities allied with their ownyou so that you can go through and read about your past adventures.Bludwyng: What all is new this year in Frostfell?=)
Kaitheel: There's so much new! House items to be crafted, slippery ice, collections, a frozen dungeon instance, a very pretty Frostfell tree quest given in each player city. And new rewards for the old quests that can be done again this year.Felishanna: Currently, people are selling open and cleared instances to TSO zones for shards. Is this going to be addressed soon? Can you reassure us that how it is addressed wont harm normal mentored groups? Ilucide: We've been addressing these missions on a case-by-case basis, and expect to have the last of them addressed by the end of next week.Ilucide: And no, the changes will not harm normal mentored groups. =)Savne: Is there any chance of being given more quest journal space? Ilucide: The original reason we had a 75 slot quest journal was hardware related, though not because of data storage. There should be a fair amount of +crush gear scattered throughout the single group instances, and I may provide some alternate options on some of the void shard gear for +crush as well. No timeframe on that, however.
