Note: there are two quests but neither is recorded in the Journal. The first gives you xp and status. The second is when you exit and turn in the "specimen" to Dr. Arcana. You must tun in the specimen to receive your currency and armor.
*Enter the Coliseum of Valor, then click the Portal to the PQ instances (loc needed).
*Destroy 50 icons, these look like sun-globes and they spawn after mobs are down. The mobs that spawn icons are either Royal Guards of Ro, or Efreeti guards.
**Mobs repop, so you can either wait downstairs and keep clearing the rooms and destroying icons, or you can click the central teleporter in either of the side rooms which takes you "upstairs". After walking a bit in the hallway, you arrive at a room with mobs and eventually Efreeti. Clear room, destroy icons.
**Then go to the side alcove in the room, this will take you to another room similar in size and shape. Clear room, destroy icons.
*AoE Warning: these rooms have AoE effects which give warning before they go off with a Gold glow on the floor. Don't be in the circle when it hits. One of the rooms has a knock-up effect, control your fall to avoid the brazier in the room.
*Once enough icons are down, you can progress to the Avatar of the Sun's chamber and defeat him. To get to him, you must click a teleporter and choose "Central" Chamber.
**Take care not to walk over an active jet, which will kick you up in the air and possibly toss you into lava.
**The avatar blinks between a few locations on the center dais, but it's a simple tank/spank fight.
*Return the specimen to Dr. Arcana for your reward.
